I’m a freelance journalist with extensive experience in storytelling, editing and producing digital content, a specialism in features and bylines at the BBC, The Guardian, National Geographic, Stylist, Refinery29 and more.

A strong generalist, I’ve written articles about fast fashion, poisonous sweets and the nostalgia of 90s perfume; first-person stories about learning to swim, celebrating friendship and giving up ultra-processed foods; opinion pieces about cooking and trendy coffee, and long reads about the mysterious disappearance of two young boys and how London Bridge moved to Arizona.

I built my journalism career in local newspapers, where I won several NCTJ awards, and I've spoken at universites and on podcasts about my time as a reporter - stories I'm proud to share. In my spare time, I love researching my family history, which has led to multiple writing commissions with Who Do You Think You Are? magazine.

In addition to traditional journalism work, I provide writing and editorial services to public and private sector clients, deliver media training, produce Shorthand stories for a luxury brand, and make guest appearances on radio. Finally, I launched The Pitch Bin last year - a Substack to place even more of my content.

Outside work, I have a needy cat and a ferocious reading habit, am learning French and would one day like to do an MSc in genealogy.
