About

I’m a freelance journalist with bylines at the BBC, National Geographic, Stylist, Refinery29, the i, Time Out and more.

Following several years at regional newspapers, where I won multiple NCTJ awards, I spent almost a decade at the BBC website writing and editing national and global news and features that were read by millions of people all over the world.

In addition to my journalism work, I provide copy and content services to public and private sector clients, deliver media training, make Shorthand stories for a luxury brand, and occasionally appear on podcasts talking about my former life as a local reporter.

I have a needy cat, plough through a book roughly once a week (everything from Jane Austen to Jilly Cooper), am learning French and would one day like to do an MSc in genealogy.
